Reflexology is a complementary therapy widely accepted in the UK and recognised by the NHS, and many GP’s. The therapy is based on the principle that the feet and hands contain 'mini-maps' of the whole body and that there are reflex points that correspond to every organ, gland and part of the body. For example, the toes represent the head and the ball of the foot represents the chest and lung region and that by applying pressure using the fingers or thumbs a reflexologist can have a positive effect on the corresponding parts of the body. |

Reflexology reduces stress by generating deep, tranquil relaxation, clearing these blockages. The reflexology treatment will begin with a thorough health, diet and lifestyle consultation. The treatment will then begin with some general relaxation techniques, followed by a precise thumb and finger walking technique aimed at applying pressure to every reflex area on the top and bottom of the foot. The treatment will last between 45 – 60 minutes. |
